Water splits the site in two; a river feeds a single channel, filling opposing basins.
Two pavilions resting above the water, face one another.
Quiet rooms turn their backs to the water.
Outside the wall, nature is quiet, seemingly untouched.
The walls contain, creating a dichotomy between the inner and outer worlds.
Until..
The wall opens to the beyond.
To step out, beyond the walls into the seemingly quiet nature, only to long for the familiarity of the water, the walls, and home.
The channel, having finished its journey, leaves as quietly as it entered, to be reunited once again with the river.
