Based on analysis of a residential case study, a series of primary, secondary, and tertiary structural systems emerged. These systems became the method of spatial composition for a resident in Ithaca, New York. The primary system, steel beams imbedded in between the walls of the gorge, determine the organizational logic of the interior spaces. Between the beams, walls and vertical planes, further divide the space, creating privacy and seclusion within.
